Fee Waivers - Getting Fee Waivers for Tests and College Applications
If you're planning to apply for a significant amount of financial aid to attend college, you may qualify for fee waivers to pay the cost of college applications and standardized tests (which can add up to literally hundreds of dollars).
The best place to get started with fee waivers is your high school's guidance counselors' office. In many cases, it will be up to your counselor to provide a fee waiver "code" or to write a letter substantiating your need for a waiver. After that, you should check with colleges to learn about their individual policies. Many schools have a fee waiver application tucked into their regular application.
Information about fee waivers for standardized tests is available on the SAT and ACT websites.
