Q. College Transfer - Is It Easier to Transfer Colleges?
A. Applying to a college as a transfer applicant is different than applying as a high school student. The biggest difference is that you now have college grades to show the admissions committee: for better or for worse, these grades will to some extent overshadow your SAT scores and high school grades.
Additionally, colleges typically only report admissions statistics about the incoming freshman class. Those who transfer colleges aren't typically included. So while colleges don't want low SAT scores bringing down their averages and rankings, they can take a chance on a college transfer applicant whose numbers won't affect their statistics.
