Remember that outside advisors work best when helping you brainstorm, avoid writer's block, and get a second opinion. Trying to find someone to write or rewrite your essay is dishonest and often backfires, as admissions officers receive a submission that's polished but lacks the honesty and intimacy of an effective college admissions essay.
