Colleges Still Debating SAT Writing Test

While the Writing section of the SAT has been in place since 2005, colleges are still trying to determine how to use students' SAT Writing scores. Some colleges find it useful to look at a spontaneous and unpolished student essay, while other schools refuse to even consider a test section that has not yet been proven meaningful or relevant.
